Carmen Doreal is the artistic name of Carmen Tuculescu Poenaru, poet and painter of Romanian origin who lives in Montréal, Canada.
She studied visual arts and painting at the Constantin Brancusi School of Fine Arts, in Romania, and has been training in Art Therpy in Montreal, Canada.
She is member of The Association of Romanian Writers of Quebec in Canada and The Constantin Brancusi Cultural Foundation in Romania.

Carmen Doreal, is also a member of the Circle of Artist Painters and Sculptors of Quebec.
Her poems, written in Romanian and translated to French and English, appeared in several literary magazines in Romania, Europe and Canada.
Carmen Doreal debuted in 1999 with the volume of poetry titled “The Overture of Love” published by <<The Courier of Danube Press>>, (The E-Mail From The Danube) in Bucharest.
The title poem, “The Overture of Love” and several other poems are published in various Romanian literary journals, including: “Luceafarul”, Bucharest, “Ramuri’”, Craiova, ”The Column” – Tg-Jiu, “’Transilvania”’, Tg-Mures, ”Tarnava”, Tg-Mures , ”Muresul”, Tg-Mures,”Tribuna”, Cluj, ‘”The Candle”, Montreal, ”Romanian Pages”, Montreal, ”Our Tribune”, Montreal, ” Capitala”, Ottawa, and”Romanian Canadian”, Toronto.
Carmen Doreal is also the author of many paintings in oil on canvas and acrylic.
Her works manifest the music of poetry, and poetry of colors, in an original fashion.
